CUBAN BLACK-BEAN STEW WITH RICE

Today I Made:
Recipe from EVERYDAY FOOD magazine, Sept. 2008 issue.
Black beans, onion, garlic, red bell pepper, and spices.
Topped with cilantro, radishes, and lime.

The only substitution I made, was to use brown instead of white rice.

This stew was super easy and fast to make.
So filling, delicious, and nutritious.

I can't wait to make this again and again!!!

I earmarked that recipe to try but was afraid it would be a little bland. Not so much, eh?

That looks really good! I just realized that you bestowed the Brilliante Award on me. I'm so sorry I just now saw that and I thank you very, very much!

Ok, that dish looks very tasty... but your Cyclon is the coolest thing ever! Can you imagine a Cylon with garlic breath?!?

That looks awesome - what a great presentation! Mr. Cyclon there looks like he's just about to go to town on that food!

I am married to a Cuban, so you have got to stop by and check out my black bean recipe. This has been handed down form my mother-in-law, and oh so delicious. And luckily for my daughter, it is completely meat free.

Love your blog. I don't know what I like better, your food or your little figurines!!!
